How do I know that you can really help my student?

I have a reputation for honesty. If I cannot help your student, I will let you know. I have years of experience with many different students with varying needs and challenges and I know my limitations, but also I know my skills, talents and abilities.

I need a tutor for math, but the course is not listed in your experience. How do I know you can help?

Mathematics has a wide range of different course titles and terminology, that changes from state to state, country to country and decade to decade, but the basic understandings have not changed. I work with students to unwrap the mathematics and to make sense of it, no matter what terminology is used or what the course title is, until we are a success.

We have a brilliant student, who is not applying their talents in math class. We are not sure that anyone can help him.

I have a background in working with talented and exceptional students. Often a regular check on assignments and a one-on-one connection with an outside person of expertise will naturally challenge a student to perform up to their potential. Consistency and empathy helps a student to overcome their lethargic approach to Math.
